The annual Walk-a-Thon is a fun way for students and faculty to show their Alfred Vail school spirit, support the HSA and get some heart-healthy exercise. The Walk-a-Thon is our biggest fundraiser for the year--all money raised goes toward HSA-sponsored activities and the enrichment of our children’s learning experience.

Donations can be made with cash, check (payable to: Alfred Vail HSA), Venmo (@AlfredVailHSA or use QR code, include student name, grade and teacher in notes) or online (scan QR code).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where is the Walk-a-Thon held?
The students and faculty will be participating on the field behind Alfred Vail.
What do the students do during the Walk-a-Thon?
Cones will be set up in the field in the back of the school. Students will walk around the outside perimeter of the cones while festive music plays. Visitors may stand in the center of the cones to cheer on our students.
Are families allowed to attend?
YES! There will be designated areas for visitors.
What should my child wear?
Please send your child in comfortable sneakers and show your school spirit by wearing your Alfred Vail spirit-wear or red attire! The event is held outdoors, so bring a sweatshirt or jacket if needed.
How long is the event?
The Walk-a-Thon will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m., with students returning to their classrooms at approximately 10:45 a.m. Visitors are asked to leave the premises so that students can return to their classrooms after the event.
Are donations tax-deductible?
The Alfred Vail HSA is a non-profit organization. Online contributions will receive an automatic donation receipt. Donations made with cash or check, please request a receipt by email: alfredvailtreasurer@gmail.com.
Is there a rain date?
In the event of inclement weather, we will notify families by (HSA email and School Messenger alert). The rain date will be Monday, October 12th.
